SNG Championship No.10

Welcome to the 10th Sit and Go Championship!

The Sit and Go Championship is an official Surfers Poker bling title event.

How it works

The winner will be determined by a points system.

All you have to do is play some Sit-and-Gos over a 2.5 week period. Any size SNGs. Simple as that. Your results will be automatically tracked.

Dates
  • Registration closes: 16:00 ET on Fri 2nd March
  • Contest takes place: Between 00:01 ET on Sun 4th March and 23:59 ET on Tues 20th March

Prizes

The winner will be the person with the highest points score. You can use your score from either small field (up to 18-man SNGs) or from Big field (45-180 man), but not both.

In the event of a tie then whoever has the highest Average ROI will win, comparing the actual Average ROI for Small field, to half of the Average ROI for Big field.

There will be a bling title for the winner, plus BAS access, plus a $15 prize....plus unlimited amounts of prestige obviously.

MrNeverdie

for 180s and 45s trololol

MrHoliday 02-28-2012 05:44 PM

But would someone be so kind to explain, because from what I am reading there is no way to win, e.g. I have to have 50% roi to beat someone who has 5%

char 02-28-2012 09:49 PM

pro.ashley69 any chance of a elite thing like 10$ to enter?

jappie007 02-28-2012 10:15 PM

in obv. not for the elite though

Frogman3 02-28-2012 11:10 PM

Agent Bear

gl me getting even 20% roi for 1 point over like 500 games or w/e I play . Seems impossible for anyone who plays volume to win

6% roi over 200 x 18mans (not very difficult) gives you 4 points . To get the same points in 45s or 180s you need over 50% roi ?

It is worth pointing out a few things.

This championship has previously always been just STTs, so it is certainly designed not to make it easy for big field sngs to muscle in. But at the same time it's perfectly possible for someone to win via big field ones. Often hardly any reach 200 sngs, and not that often with +ROI. At the same time a few binks for a big field player can have big effects on their ROI.

Secondly, players can play both. If someone really wants to play a bunch of small field ones and a bunch of big field ones, and then just use their best score, then they may. It's not a competition between the two, more an expansion of the overall competition enabling both.

Yeh it's probably impossible to make it "fair" for all types of sngs unless you impose a rly high minimum volume which isn't going to work

Playing 50-60 x 180s and binking a couple is actually prob the easiest way to win this

PB-SP-SC 02-29-2012 12:24 PM

small field, against NT :nope:

yeah, but if you play that in two days, what are you going to do for next two weeks, that's the problem...

yeh maybe there should be the option to cap your results at any no. of games over the minimum . So if you play 50 and get good results you can opt to freeze those results and anymore you play don't count . Or you can carry on playing if you feel like you can improve your score

Wish it started today btw :hithead: no chance of me running as good as this again in the next month

IDK if they have started the 45-180 BOP things yet, but base it on the highest scores in those?

The last few SNG Championships all contained bonus points for BOP placements. But with bigger field SNGs coming in this time, that was dropped. If/when BOP gets expanded then we'll definitely be incorporating it somehow into later SNG Championships.
