Barret isn't dumb enough to finish 7th in a 45, still be in 14 others... and lose them all. That's the first point.

Now, if this were Veidt playing... and he decided to "be a genius" and try this... this would be the outcome:

1) He would have "cashed" for $17.12 over the buyin, thereby making the total BR: $557.12, at least until he donked off the other 14... yielding him a BR of $55.12.

2) He would have lost the bet. So, in the process of failing at his "genius" (tard) move, he would now owe everyone $500.

The main reason this works for Barret is the payoff probability.

His original risk is $5. It's safe to say that $5 can be turned into $250 in a week. That means that Barret is effectively risking $255 (the excess between $250 and $500... and his original $5) to potentially win $1100 ($750 + the excess between $250 and $600). It's a good wager, in my opinion, based upon his skill set. So, whereby he's laying 1.75:1, the reality is his payoff is greater than 4:1.

But, yes... even in your tard model of donking off $540 to win $500... it doesn't work, Veidt.
