Okay, as you know, I'm a guy who has no clue what to do with his life. Also, I'm a guy who comes up with a lot of idea's what to do, says he'll stick to it and then abandon it after a short time. So, let's look at a few of the things I've claimed to go and do in this blog:

- Grind FLHE ring games (Where this whole blog started, managed to stick to it for a pretty long time, till I made Silverstar for the first time basically)
- Grind HU sngs and MTTs (Stuck to it for maybe 3 weeks)
- Grind 45-seaters

Oh, nice quote here from a post on 10-4-2008:

Lets continue:

- Started studying Communication and Information sciences (quit after 2 months)
- Grind STTs (managed to stick to it for several months, until...)
- Do a prop bet in $6.50 STTs, $2000 profit in a week (this meant I had to do weeks and weeks of training, which totally killed my motivation, ended up quitting STTs altogether)
- Not really a challenge, but I'll take every chance to mention it: Shipped summer classics event for €16000 XD
- Play steps to qualify for PCA (wanted to play 75 step 1s, stopped after 37)
- Grind 50NL 6-max (quit after dropping $500 in the first week)

Oh, another nice quote (2-24-2010):

Quote:
I'm looking through my blog and it looks like I haven't updated on my career choosing for a while. Well, I've come to the conclusion that I don't want to go to college again. I'm just not the learning kind of guy, I nearly puke at the idea of having to study books of 1500+ pages for tests. I'm more of a guy who learns through experience, also to be seen in my poker learning as I've done most of my learning through playing lots and lots of hands. I've only read one book and occasionally been active in the strategy forum here. I can never keep myself to just learning though, and that's why such a theoratical study is just nothing for me.

No, I'm now looking at the option of moving up the ladder in the supermarket where I work now. They offer a few courses, most where you work 4 days a week and go to school one day. Then you can become supermarketmanager and stuff and that really sounds good to me I have to say. I like the idea of having to run a huge shop, I'm not sure why, maybe it's the power, maybe it's the satisfaction, but it just sounds good.

I'm also still in the want of pursueing a career in poker. It is and will remain my dream to one day be travelling the world to big poker tournaments, maybe being sponsored and stuff. But hey, gotta learn and build a roll first, and that's mainly what the $10k challenge is for. I just have to play bigger games now for me to learn more about the game, but there's work to do first. It's going to be tough to constantly play the same games though, may become pretty boring, but combined with normal work I think it will be achievable.
This is exactly how I still feel, except that the supermarket didn't work out, I wasn't the guy for the job or something. So instead I just quit as I didn't wanna keep working there doing some lowlife job that bored the crap out of me for money that I didn't even need.

So what remains? Poker. It is where my heart and soul lies, but I'm scared. Scared that poker will not be as big as it is now in ten years. If poker gets smaller, it will be way harder to make a living off it. It means that there will be way less new donks coming into the game, while all the pro's stay in the game because they have little choice, they need to make a living. How are the pro's gonna make a living if it's only pro's that are playing the game? Of course, there will always be donks in the game, but relatively I think there will be way less in 10-15 years.
And then some more challenges:

- $12 180s (had a huge downswing which killed my spirits, later I decided there's no value in m as there's too many people grinding them)
- Quit poker (fell back right after making the announcement, May 2010)
- Write songs (actually managed to fill a notebook, still occasionally write some)
- Study Psychology (which I've kinda decided to quit, again)
- Get Iron Man for 3 months (quit halfway the first month, downswing killed me)
- Quit poker again (fell back at the end of January '11)
- Write an album (never got past the concept, cept writing 2 texts I think)
- Write a book (never got past the concept)

So that's it. There's one thing I haven't included, which is MTTs. It seems that whatever I did, I always came back to MTTs in the end. Kinda sucks as that's not where the real money is if you wanna play poker for a living, but I guess I just love them. It's actually going pretty good lately, playing for a $700 bas, currently up to $1150ish I think, just by playing MTTs. 2 final tables and 4 top 20s so far in a week, 3 of which were yesterday. I hope it can continue.

But anyways, the reason for making this post is that I've kinda decided what I want to do with my life. If you look at the points I just made there's one thing that clearly stands out, poker is one of the biggest things is my life. I always come back to poker, no matter what I do. Whenever I went to college it's for the reason that it's normal do it, that you HAVE to, but do you really? I can also just lose all those thoughts right now, and pursue a career in poker, or at least in the casino scene. I'm gonna apply at the Holland Casino, hopefully they'll have a dealer job for me, I'm perfect for the job, I know the rules of just about every game they offer, I'm very quick with numbers, I can shuffle a deck within 10 seconds, dunno what they'd want more. Then if I can get that job then maybe someday I can become Floor Manager, would be freaking awesome tbh.

I also really want to become good at poker again. I mean, it's not like I suck, but I've been way better in the past. I just need to study a lot, analyze a lot etc, too bad that I find that the most boring part of the game, but it's necessary if I really wanna become good again. I'm currently crushing the micro scene though lol. Just playing MTTs below $11 for the BAS, I think that's where the most value lies for me. The $22-$55 are filled with players who are better than me, while there are hardly any atm (seems so at least) under $11.

So, short lines of this post, I don't want to go to college (unless I get into Journalism, but the chances are very slim), I want to get in the casino scene, or play.

Alright. I've chosen a game which I'm gonna focus on the coming time, like, really focus, read lots, watch vids and practice etc. That game is Shorthanded Pot Limit Omaha!

Whenever it seems that I'm slacking off I want you guys to tell me that if I want to make any money at this freaking game that I should go back to PLO and stick to it! I've made preperations now to work on it a lot, ordered 2 books, a certain offsite member sent me 8 deucescracked vids on it for which I thank him dearly, watched the first and my first idea is that I still have a lot to learn to even start watching the rest lol. I hope that with a LOT of work and effort I can become a good Omaha player in a few months, starting at the 10c/25c games and the 5c/10c deepstack games and working my way up.

I'm gonna take a more professional approach to accounting too, keep track of my BR and profits better, purchase an Omaha tool sometime too. I'm gonna be working towards the goal to play 100PLO profitably by the end of the year, and eventually to be able to make a good living on it, that is unless I get into Journalism, but the chance of that happening is 25%ish and even if I do there's still enough time to be learning Omaha on the side.

Okay guys, I've slacked off a lot in the past, but this one is for real!

It's been one sick weekend.

So, friday eve there was free booze at some event in my hometown, so naturally I drank quite a few beers, wasn't really drunk until I started on the wine. In the end I was pretty wasted, but still had to walk back home from the town centre, which is like 20 mins without alcohol. Luckily I had a companion, Craxer. So about halfway we find an empty shopping cart lying in the grass, so naturally I jumped right in it and Craxer started pushing real fast, lost control and it ended up hitting the grass, spinning and falling over, in which I smacked my head against the ground, still feel the bump.. XD

So yesterday I had a pretty big hangover, but still decided to go to this party I was invited to. Didn't drink that much, went into town in Harderwijk (neighbouring city), to a bar with live piano music, was fun. Initially we were with a pretty big group, but when we left around 3:30am there was just the 5 of us, me, two good friends and two girls, one of the girls is the girlfriend of one of the good friends and the other is her best friend. So, we walked onto the boulevard where our taxi would come, us 3 ahead and the girls falling slightly behind us, when suddenly we hear one of them scream something, couldn't make it out exactly. .... Alright I'm not gonna tell the whole story, gonna be way too confusing like this. In the end, what happened is that some random bitch punched one of the girls that was with us, which caused her to fall down and land bad, hurting her head, then one of the guys I was with (the boyfriend of her best friend) got into a fight with the crazy dude that was with the crazy bitch, he started to threaten to stab him, so naturally he made sure he got some distance from the crazy guy, who started kicking him, me and my other friend were absolutely clueless on what to do as the guy was a complete lunatic, hardly a way to stop him, in the end my friend (he knew the guy from a long time ago) managed to get him against the wall, and shortly after that the police came and the guy made a run for it. I read today that they caught him shortly after, luckily.

But anyways, during all that, the girl was still on the ground, hardly responding to anything, saying she had hurt her head real bad, so we stayed there waiting for an ambulance (other people we knew were around by this time) and talking to the police. When the ambulance arrived they checked her situation and decided it wasn't necessary for her to go to the hospital, in the end she fractured her cheekbone and has trouble hearing in one ear, but that will return.

For me, this was all an exceptional situation, I never get into fights really, and it does frighten me a bit how clueless I was as to what to do. In the end it's just good experience I guess for when another such situation occurs, and I'm glad were all okay, could've gone way worse if the crazy guy had actually pulled his knife, even though I'm still not sure if he actually had one. I'm just glad they caught him, hope they'll lock him up for a while but this is Holland, so he's probably already free right now and is gonna get like 40 hrs community service.. Really, people like that should be banned from society for life, the guy lives in a trailer park, is a drug addict, and as seen yesterday, a danger to society, and so is that crazy ass girlfriend of his. Really pathetic people, I think I forgot to mention that they started the fight for no reason at all. Probably just because the girl we were with looked at them or something, just really sick. Echt, zulke mensen moeten afgeschoten worden.

Alright, time for happier things! My PLO quest has begun, already halfway through the first book I'm reading, "The Pot-Limit Omaha Book" by Tri Nguyen. Already learned a lot, and I think I showed that in a small session tonight, one tabled 25PL for an hour and made $32. I was however hitting nice flops and it was a ridic soft table, basically almost any hand I was in position, I could just bet the flop if they checked and they'd just fold, without a struggle. In the end it was a great session, even though it was short. I'm gonna try and get some more hands and some more pages read tomorrow, but I'm going to a concert in the evening so I don't have a lot of time probably. Anyways, good start and a nice end to this crazy weekend!

First of all, went to Stephen Lynch yesterday, was awesome, great comedian/musician.

Then, I played a nice 4 hour PLO session today, started with one table, then two tables later on. I managed to lose a nice $100, 4 buy ins lol. Ran terrible tho, $80 under EV. Felt like I wasn't playing too bad, just a few icky spots, posted 2 I think, had another few where I'm not sure but I can't find them atm lol, I'm beat right now so not gonna look right now. Anyways, what's also good is that even tho the session was horrible, I'm satisfied with it, because of the EV thing lol. Nothing I can do about that except hope it's the other way around next session. Graph is at the bottom, 617 hands and I'm down $75, really small numbers so far.

So, tomorrow I got a resit, so travelling to Groningen early, then after that I'll be reading some more on PLO and playing later on Thursday I'm playing during the day and going out in the evening, Friday travelling back to Zeewolde but stopping at Harderwijk first to go to the police station to testify about the whole thing in the above post, doing what I can to get the guy locked up for some time.

That's it for now

So, no poker today. There are multiple reasons. First of all, I slept terrible last night, one hour tops, so I've been tired all day. Then, I found out that the bus I had to take didn't drive at the time I thought it would, which meant it was impossible for me to make my resit on time, which kinda crushed my mood, then, home again, I find out about the whole FTP shizzle which crushed my mood even more. I'm probably just gonna drink a few beers and watch a few movies tonight

About the FTP thing, I had $300 on there and another potential $300 in Sal's stake, so I lost $600 total which is like half my bankroll atm, so stupid of me to keep money on there, I haven't trusted them for a minute since black friday, paid for my own stupidity, ah well. So, Stars BR is reading $600 now, dunno what's the deal with Leafs' BAS, if that money was on FTP or Stars, so lets say my BR is $600 now. That'd mean I'd have to step down to 10PLO which sucks tbh, but I guess I have to, especially after I've seen yesterday how much you can lose in a single session. So, back to 10PLO it is, should be easy to crush but the players are also really unpredictable so might add to the swings too, but we'll see. Probably no time to play till Saturday tho..

Well, I took the step back to 10PLO, and I must say, I'm not liking it. Stepping back in itself is of course not a great motivation, but it seems like I'm having a harder time there, which is weird. I'm just not feeling good at the table, seems like I'm not able to win any big pots.. Only a few hundred hands so far though, so might just be bad luck, but I also have a lot of reading to do. Idk, the Jeff Hwang book might have done some bad things too, it's mostly about full ring which I'm not playing, so it might be putting wrong ideas in my head. I think I'm gonna put that one away for a while until I'll have fininshed the Slotboom & Hollink book, which is solely about shorthanded PLO.

I have been slacking a lil over the past few days btw, mostly because I'm trying to get back into a better sleeping pattern. I was at like 4am-3pm which obv is terrible, so I made my mom wake me up around 7:30 for a few days in a row. Freaking tiring, so I haven't felt great the past days, it's all worth it though, when I get into a 1am-9am sleeping pattern I'll feel way better. I found out that 7:30 is a lil too early so as of tomorrow my alarm will go off at 9am. Still it's hard to get out of bed so early when you don't really have any obligations, but I really need to put myself to work (read: study PLO).

Alright, I think that's it for now

Yeeeeees!! I've been accepted into the School for Journalism in Utrecht!

I'm starting in September, and I really hope that this is my final stop in the everlasting search for something to do with my life. I am really motivated, can't wait to start! Well actually, I can, going on vacation first on the 28th 12 days of beach, sun and partying! Really looking forward to it.

As for poker, the slacking continues. No motivation at all lately, I'm basically being really lazy all day every day, summer vacation mode! Watching the Tour and basically not doing anything else, except for a LOTR marathon yesterday which was fun. We had the full extended editions on bluray, took 12.5 hrs to finish lol.

So, I guess having a lazy period means I also don't have that much to tell, so here's the end of this post already!

So, after a long absence again I've come back into the game I've been averaging about 2 hours a day at 25PLO 6-max since Sunday, quickly losing money.. I don't know, my game is just far from good, but I also had a good amount of runbad. Anyways, I decided I need a more structured approach instead of just opening up a table and playing. I just started reading Rolf Slotboom and Rob Hollink's book Secrets of Shorthanded PLO, already learned stuff in the first chapter (the thing about the structured approach), so yeah, I'm gonna be using that from now on. I also think by the way that my hand selection is a little off, but the book doesn't cover that so I'll need other books for that.

I don't know how much time I'm gonna have to play though in the future as the academic year is about to start, dunno how much time I'm gonna have to spend studying, but I should still be able to play and read quite a bit

So, about the structured approach, firstly, I'm gonna be way more focused when playing. No tv, no internet, just a little music and just one table for now. I'm also gonna set my session time on the before hand, only quit if I'm really tired and leave tables when it seems that the action is dry, and then open up another. Table selection will be minimum, except looking for tables with high players per flop %s and hopefully at least one bad player I recognize (this will be hard to start with as I don't know a lot of players yet). I'm also just gonna stick to the regular stacked tables, I've tried the deepstack but I don't like them for PLO, also because my game is just not good enough yet. I think that quite covered it.

So, schedule for tomorrow:

10 am -11 am - Wake up
11 am - 1 pm - First session
1 pm - 3 pm - Go into town, haircut etc, and chill
3 pm - 6 pm - Firstly read a chapter in the Slotboom book, then play
6 pm - 8 pm - Chill and dinner
8 pm - 12 pm - Read chapter(s) and play
12 pm - 2 am - Chill and go to bed

It's gonna be something like that I should be able to stick to it, maybe a few shifts, depending on when I can go and get a haircut.

We'll see.

Oh, and for LOLaments, my graph so far (the current downswing in expected EV was from the deepstacked tables, which I'm gonna avoid from now on):

Ugh, that schedule is probably not gonna happen, slept terribly tonight, only 2-3 hours.. So yeah, I'm really tired atm. Plus I just made a dentist appointment for 5pm so I need to make some changes in the afternoon session too.. But yeah, I'm not gonna start playing till I've woken up a lil more.

Hi 2012!

Haven't posted here in a long time so I thought I'd give a quick update.

So, what's been keeping me up and running these past months? I started studying Journalism. I think I've finally found my spot, although the past quarter wasn't all that exciting, learning about magazines and shit, don't really care about them. I still got lots of assignments to do though before it's don't, ain't gonna be fun.. But, we're starting the next semester with a course on radio-making, really looking forward to that, especially since I've been listening to the radio nonstop in the past two weeks as there were 2 big radio events in Holland.

As you probably know, I've also started to take poker more serious again. I just finished a 2 month BAS, started on $1150, ended just under $3000 which is great. I think that's my best BAS ever. Also felt like I played my best game ever tbh, hardly making any big mistakes, might still be a tad too tight though which would explain why I don't make big mistakes. This game is working out though at the limits I play, so why change it for now.

So, what can I say about 2011? I don't think it was a year I'll remember tbh. Nothing special happened. I've had fun, like always, I dropped out of university, started college. I made $4000 profit according to OPR, also some loss on cashgames though, but that is my best year ever, pokerwise. There is one poker night I'll definitely remember, that night where I confirmed my comeback by getting a 3rd and 4th spot in tourneys on FTP, profiting $2500 on one night. Sucks that FTP now still has $800 of mine.. This years summer was pretty boring, except for the holiday to Bulgaria which was a lot of fun. Summer in Holland was crap though, just rain and shizzle. I also made new friends this year, don't think I lost any so that's a plus. Other than this, nothing interesting happened, so overall it really wasn't a special year.

Plans for the new year! The plan I'm most busy with is the plan to turn poker into a job. This is because I just don't want to get a job atm, but I do need money, so poker is the solution! What I'm working towards is a bankroll of $4000, with the idea that I withdraw 10% of my bankroll on the last day of each month. This means I'd need to make $400 a month on average, which hasn't been a problem the last 2 months, but I'm upswinging. I think $400 on average should be sustainable though for me, I'd play 2-4 nights a week, at least 2 on average. I'm gonna continue combining Pokerstars and Partypoker. Party is just a goldmine, the players are so crazily bad and it seems that almost every time I can build a stack early, I can also take it to the final table. I also like it that the field sizes are way smaller. I'll play on Pokerstars for the occasional big hit, and big session, whenever I feel like going crazy and 18 table for a bit.

January will be filled with poker, but not at the start. I've got too many assignments and exams to play a lot, but the brilliant thing is that the TCOOP starts on the exact day that I've got my last exam (probably, the schedule is still tentative), which means I'll be playing lots of the TCOOP, all for my open BAS. On the side I'll be playing satties to decrease the risk of the BAS, and I'll occasionally play some MTTs for myself So that's what January looks like basically. Got no other goals in volume, we'll see what comes of it.

Here's to a great and very profitable 2012!

I haven't played a lot yet this year, main reason being that I have been busy with school assignments. Another reason is that I've gone into a terrible sleeping pattern (4am - 2pm basically) which makes me feel tired all the time, and even a little depressed, so I never feel like playing. I feel like playing today though, and I'm gonna! I kinda have to actually, for the Survivor.. Really want to win it but it'll be tough. Given the recent results I've had I do think it's possible though, lotsa good scores, just gotta keep it up! And I gotta keep up the rungood too. I've set new limits for BRM btw, $22 max, to make sure I'm not gonna be playing the $25 hypers too much lol. Also kinda makes sense btw as the roll is about $3k atm and 150 buy ins sounds safe enough to live on. Another factor is that I've been beating these games quite easily, and I don't think I can beat the medium tournaments as regularly really, so it's best to just stick to these for a while for now.

Ah what the heck, let's update this thing again. Cba to tell about everything I've done in the past 5 months, but here are some cliffs:

- Poker has been swingy, no huge scores, came close a couple of times though but just haven't been able to finish well. May was especially disgusting, about $700 down.
- School is good, gauranteed to go through to the 2nd year and looks like I'm gonna complete all my 1st year courses right away which would be nice. Enjoying it too, which is the most important thing right now.

So that's it basically.

The schoolyear is almost coming to an end though, which means that the exams are coming up. I'm gonna study hard for m next week so probably hardly any poker, but after that it's summer vacation and I'll start playing a lot again, depending on the weather. I'm gonna start grinding the Partypoker MTTs more, wanna become one of the top regs in the <$22s. Shouldn't be too hard as there aren't that many regs, but there are a couple of good ones out there. The problem though, is that there's hardly any action on PP under the $22 games, so unless I have the BR to play $22s it's pretty pointless to play there at all. Due to the small field sizes you don't need that big a bankroll to play them, I guess $2k should be enough. I don't have that atm however as I've had to cash out a bit, so I'll likely just start a Partypoker BAS when I close my current BAS. Might not be till I go on vacation, which would suck. I'm leaving for Canada on July 4th and coming back around the 26th, so otherwise it would just be a BAS for August I guess.

My stats right on Party right now are pretty good, on full tracking:

Game * Prizes Won Net Profit ROI Average
Buy-In Average
Field Size R/A ITM/Played ITM
Hold'em NL $4,902 $2,046 72% $14 388 13% 35/200 18%

Would be sick if I could maintain that, lol. That'd mean I'd make around $100 on an average session like today's, nice wage imo. Well, we'll see. Last 120 days haven't been great, -1% on that, but I was 192% last year lol so I guess running breakeven is the Partypoker version of a downswing.

Still in Canada, and it's time for a trip report! I don't know how long or detailed it will be, we'll just see how the post evolves.

So, I arrived here on July 4th, staying at friends in Cochrane. The flight was one of the smoothest I've ever had, plus we didn't really have to wait that long at customs on the airport (usually it takes ages in Calgary, this time it went quickly though), so that was great. We arrived somewhere in the afternoon and basically did nothing that evening, just have dinner and talk. We stayed in Cochrane over the next couple of days, with occasional trips to Calgary and into the mountains. We went to see the Stampede Parade in Calgary, which was a big happening. We were invited to some party, but as the Parade is in the morning, the party was also hella early. So, we left Cochrane at about 6:30am and arrived there around 8:00am I think. And that's when the first beers went in, lol. The parade itself was pretty good, some funny stuff walking along and some hot cheerleaders among m.

We also went shopping in Calgary, canoeing on Moraine Lake and some other stuff I can't remember. One of our last nights in Cochrane, we built a major bonfire in the firepit by our friends house. It got ridiculously hot. We basically threw everything one there, a garage door (in many pieces), a couple of chairs, a christmas tree, etc. You'd had to sit 3 meters away from it, else it got too hot. It was freaking brilliant.

Then on Monday the 9th we went to get the RV. It looked good at first, 30-feet long with a slide out at either side. We soon noticed it wasn't a top-notch thing though. For starters, my air mattress slowly deflated every night. The process took a couple of hours though, so at the start of the night it was good, but around 3 or 4am I usually felt a metal bar from the couch at at 6:30am it was impossible to further sleep on it. And I had that night after night, after night. Other than that, the fridge door broke so you had to open the fridge in pairs, one holding the door so it wouldn't fall out, the other getting the stuff out the fridge. Then, somewhere on a bumpy road, a wooden piece, which I don't exactly know the purpose off, just banged out of it's holders. Some smaller stuff was wrong too, like a drape that got stuck, another one broke too, I think. And on the last day one of the screens attached to a slide-out got demolished while it was parked by some people from Switzerland, who appearantly didn't have a lot of experience parking an RV yet.. They were nice enough to wait 30 minutes for us to come back though and go over the damage with us.

So far the RV. On the first night we went to Moyie Lake, staying on a regular BC Parks camping. These campsites are absolutely beautiful, usually small and in the middle of nowhere, next to a beautiful lake of something. I only had to walk like 100 feet to get on the beach and have an amazing view of the lake, which looked great, just after sunset. I set down on a fallen tree and just looked around, in perfect peace.

The next day we drove to Christina Lake, again staying at a BC Parks camping. This one was even better, our spot was right next to a little trail that led to the cliffs. Sitting on those cliffs was brilliant, looking around over the lake and into the mountains, in absolute peace and quiet, again. I also ran across a little memorial spot for someone named Carlos, who had probably tried diving off the cliff 4 years earlier and didn't survive it. Walking down to the lake, we'd arrive at what they called a sandbeach. Well, it was not, just rocks and all. It didn't prevent us from sunbathing on it though. Oh yeah, had I said that that the weather was near-perfect? 25 to 30 degrees with plenty of sun, day in, day out. I managed to get some kind of a tan at least, which I didn't expect at all.

After staying at Christina Lake for 2 night, we went on a long drive to Vancouver. Now this was something REALLY different from what we were used to now. We were cramped in an RV park with about 200 spots, all just a couple of feet away from eachother. I didn't like it at all. We weren't planning to spend time in the park though, so it didn't matter much. The night we arrived in Vancouver was on my moms birthday, so we went out to 'Milestones' for a delicious dinner, one of the best I've ever had, maybe. The next day we went into Vancouver, which was, for me at least, a big disappointment. There just wasn't that much to see or do there. We went on one of those city trips that you find in London as well, the Big Bus, and it just wasn't interesting at all. We had lunch, went to Stanley Park, and then went back again. The only good thing was that the girls were at least a little hotter than the days before it.

After Vancouver, we went on to drive northward, took two ferries and ended up in Powell River, in a small RV Park. We had a spot right next to the water, which was beautiful. We also saw a lot of bald eagles here, magnificent creatures, but they make such an annoying noise. We also saw a couple of seals swimming around occasionally, but we had missed something way cooler. The campground host told us that just earlier on the day we arrived, they had had killer whales swim across the beach. I would've loved to see them again, after we saw them 7 years ago when we were on Vancouver Island. So the next two days I was constantly keeping an eye on the water, hoping they'd swim by again, but it was of no luck. It was still a beautiful view though, I had found a nice rock to sit on and just look at the water.

We stayed there for 2 nights again until starting our trip back to Cochrane. It would take 3 nights, and it felt like a grind. Every day we were on the road from about 9am till 6pm, occasionally stopping at some nice places though. It was in this time that I started thinking about what I'd do when I'd be back. ... Oh, it seems I forgot to tell one thing. Earlier in Cochrane I had been playing Pokemon again on my DS, which I brought just in case. I was playing for 5 hours straight one day till the battery was dead, so I walked inside to get the charger, when I saw that the one my brother packed wasn't a DS charger at all, but just a microUSB thing. So now I was forced to be pokemon-less till I could find a new one. Well, I couldn't. Not a single store in the universe, it seemed, sells them anymore. They only go back to DSi, not the original one. So yeah, that sucked.

Anyway, so I started thinking about stuff to do at home, and that was one of the first time in the trip that poker crossed my mind again. I hadn't thought about it at all really. So I started thinking about what to do with it. I concluded that I wanna focus more on investing from now on, rather than playing a lot myself. Investing had always been where I made the most money, mostly because of people like Frogman, ouch, dude and others. The problem is that there aren't many good horses left here on surfers, so I decided that I'm gonna try investing on PTP a little again. I gotta start tracking the results better though, so maybe, if someone has a good excel-sheet for it, could I maybe use it? I think my bankroll is left at about $1k after the disaster-BAS, so I'd have to be careful with it, only investing like $50 tops in horses.

I'm still gonna be playing myself, on Partypoker mostly, and very low volume. I'm gonna go back to one-tabling a lot, pretty much just recreational. I do think that I'm gonna set up a small BAS for it when I get back home, but I'm not sure yet. I don't know how much time I'll have to play, with the Olympics around and all. Oh, how I'm looking forward to the Olympics. It's gonna be 2 weeks where I'm constantly watching 2 to 4 different sports at a time, lol. One on the tv, one on my desktop, one on my laptop and on my notebook. Gonna be freaking brilliant. And then, back home, I'll also be able to charge my DS again so hello pokemon! Back to basics.

I'll be staying in Cochrane now till coming Wednesday. I'm not sure yet what we'll do, except we'll have a big party here tomorrow, a pig-roast. I've been looking forward to that for a long time, gonna be great. I think there's like 150 people coming or something.

I think I've ran out of things to say now. So, cliffs:

- Nice vacation, lots of beautiful spots
- Found myself loving to play pokemon again, then couldn't anymore
- Gonna focus more on investing and less on playing the coming time
- When I play, it'll be one tabling and fully focused on that one table
- Pig-roast tomorrow

And that's it I guess.

For pictures, check out my Facebook in about a week. I can tell you, they're great.
