-$16150 for the year lol . Wish I'd made a $20k surfers bas just for the fun sweat Sure it will turn around or maybe not ...

Need like 8th in the sunmil today or maybe 3rd in the bigger 55 , can't be too hard . Did cash in $2000 from fpps and stellar rewards etc so that's some respite but unlike certain other bloggers we don't include these in our totals because that's lame and makes us look less bad than we actually are. Like for example if you were someone slowly bleeding money at the 100nl and 200nl 6max cash tables then you could add in your stellar rewards and "rakeback" and convince yourself that it's all ok when you should probably be admitting defeat . Just an example

Hoping for a big sunday today . Gl to all you fellow mtt'ers out there

I'm looking forward to micromillions which is sad because I usually hate that series but I'm thinking I might actually have an edge in a $5 buyin with a field of 30000

Might put up a ftops bas soon . Maybe include sattys to try and get all the buyins

Events

2 $216
5 $216
12 $109
14 $216
19 $129
20 $322
23 $109 x 3 = $327
26 $109c = $327
30 $216
37 $256
ME $640

TOTAL = $2974

Guess that's not a ridic amount of money . Not sure what br to start and how many sats to include etc . Would suck to start with $2000 and lose half at sattys and only play 4 events

Haha knew I had to start running good at some point . Pretty sick shove by me but opener was loose , cold caller is a complete spaz and 4bettor is def capable of being light . Still prob a bit optimistic shove by me tho

Had a few results lately. 8th in 11r for $1k on friday and yesterday 2nd in 11cubed for 2.6k . Also had tons of rly deep runs in turbos but falling short losing flips or 70/30s etc . Hardly ever get it in bad rly maybe like KQ v AJ and stuff

Lost QQ v AQ for 400k stack in sunmil which would have been nice to win but anyway I'm sensing upswing Still $14.5k down for the year from a low of about -17.5k . Looked up Dhilton12 on sharkscope tho and he's been on a similar sort of downswing with the same avg buyin over the same no. of games so that gives me confidence since he's better than me and if he can ds that sharply then obv I can too and it doesn't mean I just suck at the pokerz .

Yearly graph for lols

So the world keeps turning... the day dawns , birds fly , in comes the tide . The rains fall and the waves crash on the ocean shores . The moon rises and the earth keeps orbitting the sun . Kevinthorn burns out again . It's the cycle of nature . Bluerain will play his yearly poker tournament soon and TomPerez will decide he's really going to focus on courchevel cashgames . DrJustice will start hassling everyone about Vegas and WillTakem will light another joint from the stress of it all . Ouchbadbeat will sell out a bas and lose 90% of the bankroll immediately whilst Mentality regs into yet another 180man . The cycle of nature cannot be stopped or changed , you've just got to see it through to the end

$18k down bleh... feel kinda sick tbh . I lose way too many times allin with the best hand which makes the game no fun at all . Chip up and then get in AQ v AT and lose , back to less than start stack . Then lose a flip and bust . That's pretty much how every tourney goes

Idk I'll just keep grinding until I literally can't play anymore . Kind of giving up hope atm since I lose $ every day with no signs of it changing. Oh well , depressing post but w/e . Not motivated at all tho because it's so demoralising to have zero trust in the best hand holding in allin situations . Ppl suck out on me endlessly but if I manage to win a flip that feels like sick rungood blah blah what can I do ? Obv I could play better in other areas but right now I can't even think straight . If I go for thin value they'll have me beat . If I slowplay they'll hit a 2 or 3 outer . If I barrel 3 streets with the 2nd nuts they'll have the nuts . If I flop a set they'll c/f or something don't rly know what to do

k back on the grind soon then - hope for some luck today

KT burnout clock = 6 days and counting.. I'm guessing it's going to be a big one this time 60 days minimum until he skulks back online

Shipped another $5 2R 1A . Kinda wish I'd done sharkfin scores because I think Id be getting close to 100 points just from the last week . 3 wins >500 players , 2 2nds and a few other fts and f2ts

Still not pulled much money back tho but it def feels like the downswing is coming to an end . Played for 11 hours today which is good - usually I only manage 6 hrs or so - and finished about $1K up , so can't complain . k only 24 days until scoop starts so better get winning so I can play those juicy $2k events

Don't want to jinx myself but pretty sure that's not a downswing If it now spikes up like at least another $100k asap then I'll be ok about it being may already and my shittest year ever .

Meh back to 15k down for the year . Nothing much to say . Every day that I play I start off optimistically but lose the first 3 flips and an 80/20 and that reminds me why I'm not having fun at poker sounds ridiculous to say that Ive ran bad for 5 months but I rly feel that I have lol . Obv I'm not the best player around but I think I'm ok like I get it in KK v AT and lose what can I rly do there ? If I was better I'd be able to chip up more in other spots so maybe the runbad wouldn't affect me as much but idk I can only play as well as I am able . If I try and play laggy and stuff I usually just spew so I'm fairly tight for the most part and get it in good usually . If I ever get a bigstack then obv I open up a bit but that doesn't rly happen because I can't win more than 1 allin in a row ...

Did get 2nd in 27 ko for 3.8k the other day so I'm up for June at least . May was a slight losing month and April slight (very slight) winning month .

GL everyone in Vegas ! Grind hard...

Well 2013 sucked so hard

Played over 12K mtts and on SS leaderboard for most mtts played . Ended with just 18k profit which barely kept me going for the year . Anyway now it's a fresh start for 2014 . Hopefully going to be grinding mtts up to $162 plus weekly majors and TCOOP etc

Looking for a good start to the year . Have basically taken the last 2 months off . Been to the gym every day and got myself in pretty good shape now . Going to continue doing that and also grinding poker HARD thru Jan and Feb . Have nothing much to do anyway and the weather is shitty so gonna take the time to build myself some $$ . Plan to move out of the UK asap and get myself a nice place somewhere with better weather . Also a girlfriend(s) with big tits obv . Have a couple of subs to training sites and will be investing in a better setup instead of shitty laptop

Will be playing staked since I can't bankroll myself atm . 60/40 cut though so that's pretty decent and hopefully can go on my own by the end of Feb . Need to be way more sensible with my money and not degen it

Planning to put a % of winnings towards paying off that damn surfers asb . Offering to pay it off at 35% so pm me if you want that and I'll add you to the list . So if I get $1000 for myself , for example , then $200 will go towards asb repayments since I doubt I'll be running a surfers bas in the next couple of months . Once I'm on my own dime then may well put up some bas's where I can buy a large chunk of shares myself but that may be some time away

Well that's it for now . Here's to a great 2014 and good luck to all the grinders

Nice pic to remind me to get out of rainy England

Results pretty bad so far but I'm pleased with my play and discipline/mental game . Playing less tables between 6 and 12
Watching 1 or 2 vids a day on runitonce . Seems like a good site as I've seen some stuff that's made me think , rather than watching some guy make std plays for an hour and learning nothing.

Also I have been game selecting more . I'm skipping hypers above $5 , also not playing $55s apart from big 55 and hot 55 since they have the softest fields . Also playing some of the more boring mtts like $5 1000 cap and $11 3k because although you can't bink a big score they should be profitable and it's all about $/game and $/hour for me this year . If I bink huge , then it happens , but I need to grind out some good money - that's my main focus . If I can make $X/mtt playing a $15 abi then I'd rather do that and have lower variance and less risk of huge downswings .

Having said that I obv still suck as bad as always

Obligatory "hit a bink and now gonna pretend that poker's great" blog post .
Two decent fts yesterday . 7th in $5 2r1a for not much and then 4th in big 22 for $5k . Carddead from f2t onwards against prob the fishiest lineup of all time . Oh well...

Playing again today and every day until I've banked that big money Off to the gym now even though I haven't slept so will mong out on the skier (elliptical trainer for the intellectuals) .

Got in touch with an old buddy from way back and we're planning to go snowboarding in late feb so need to get that sorted . Pic from when I last went in France . Yes I jump off buildings like a nutter

Hey if any of you have some good hands for me to analyse in flopzilla then pm them or post in hand analysis . I paid $35 for this pos better use it

Here is one I just did . We call QdJd from bb after UTG opens (picture 1)

Flop is Ah 9d 8c

We think he cbets 100% of his hands

Our hand has 31% equity on this flop so we can call if he bets less than pot although it may be difficult to realise our equity oop so prob calling anything over half pot is a bit optimistic (picture 2)

Turn is the Js

How often does he barrel turn ? I'd expect him to barrel with everything Jx or better . I doubt he continues firing with 44-77 and maybe KQ.
So although the J gives us a pair , our equity is reduced a lot when we consider how well that card hits his range and how he prob doesn't barrel the turn with made hands that we beat (picture 3)

River is the Qc . We have 2 pair now but our equity is very low v his range . Even if you think he bets AK which is unlikely , then we still have only 19% equity for the call (picture 4) . If you think he checks back AK then we have very small equity since we only beat 98 plus we split with QJ

Herocalling here is obv terrible . If you think he will fold 2 pair or worse on this river then that accounts for 55% of his range so betting rvr and turning your hand into a bluff would be profitable depending on sizing. If you think he sighcalls with 2 pair and only folds 1 pair or worse then folding the river is the only option

Meh might as well blog my heroic cashgame progress here 25NL normal (non zoom ) tables - Yawn . But I want to beat it confidently before I move to 50nl . Downfall in the past has always been moving up too quick and then sucking and all ending in a massive fail. Or maybe just sucking was the downfall but w/e.
Cba with mtts anymore it's just too much work/hours and detrimental to my physical and mental health . Not even interested anymore anyway
Results so far not rly spectacular but early days
