Default Gold loses his bottle and $6mil

Looks like Jamie Gold has settled out of court, giving up $6million dollars.

He lamely claimed he was always planning to give that other dude his 50%. Nothing to do with the fact that it looked almost certain he would lose the case according to all theexperts.

what a chump

ihope that isnt true. i dont think he was much of a gambler anyway. to lose 6 mil in under a year youd have to be charles barkley!!!

I don't think he lost the $6 mil., it would be big news in the pokerworld wouldn't it... but i think bodog has dropped him because he's not in their team anymore...

I don't claim to not like Gold but he's a one hit wonder no doubt. Yeah he won the world series by using his speech but truth is against pro's this tactic simply doesn't work. To be honest I think if he hadn't even lost the 6 mil if you looked down the line he'd be a major long term losing player.

If you look at him in the new season of high stakes poker he gets absolutely crushed because he can't adapt his style of play to this level of cash game with established veteran's.

Out of those last 4 guys who won, Moneymaker, Raymer, Hachem and Gold I think Hachem is the only good player.

I know some will argue about Raymer, but after having watched him several times I dont see much that makes him world class.

I think Hachem is the best too. He had a good follow up the next year.

Default THE best

i think undoubtedly Joe Hachem is the best all-around poker player out of the last 4 or 5 champions

I really do not like gold too. Also I think that hachem is the better poker player out of those 4 but Raymor is pretty good as well. A few weeks ago ( or a few months) he won the sunday millions on Pokerstars. Also the year after he won the bracelet he went pretty far the following year in the main event.

Bodog did drop him from his sponsorship and no it was not because he went broke. He just simply failed to live up to expecations and some agreements that he made.

In general his horrible play got him really lucky. For 2007 he will not make it anywhere near the money and my guess is that he will be out on the first day. Give it 5-10 years, no one will remember him in the poker world...
