Bankrolling Tourneys

I am going to bankroll Surfers Poker members for some small tourneys.

These are the options available :-

1) The Member of the Month will get a $22 tourney entry. (this is loosely based on the number of good quality posts).

2) Best New Member gets a $5.50 tourney entry

3) The Player of the Month will win $15.00. The runner up will win $8.00 (This is points based, taking into account your tourney performances - see the 'Going Deep' forum)

4) Threads of the Month - There is a $16.50 prizepool for the best threads of the month. This will be split between a minimum of 3 threads, and a maximum of 10 threads. One member can win more than one prize.

5) Surfers Poker Logo on your Pokerstars avatar. This will get you a $3.30 stake, and a priority in other stake applications. Use the logo attached to the bottom of this post.

6) Member of the Year will get a personal $100 Freeroll and $50 cash. The member of the year shortlist will be decided upon by fellow members. The shortlist when then go to a final vote-off, again with the members making the decision.

7) Referals. When any member signs up there is a box to state which member refered them to the site (if any). Often this is just left blank. Members will earn a $1 credit for every referal (assuming that referal actually posts something meaningful). Please don't spam to get referal members. This reward is mainly so you can mention us to people you might be chatting to at the tables etc. The referal can be cashed into a tourney entry when it reaches $11, and multiples thereof.

8) Blogger of the month will get an $11 tourney entry (you need to request blogging to be added to your ID to be able to start a blog in the Poker Blogs forum).

9) The poster of the Best Poker Video gets $5.50. This has to be a poker video posted in the Poker Videos section, which isnt already in there.

Yep, it has started. The first 3 awards will be given out at the end of Feb. (ie Thread of the Month, Avatar of the Month, and Highest Posting member)

NB The highest posting member excludes myself and 'Jenpoker' (who is a moderator)

since i am a mac user and can only play FTP and AP, I have changed my ap avatar to one of the logos. I will let you know when it has taken affect if the promotion is still available. Martin

I better re-state this to nip some things in the bud. :-

Quick one-liners (across a short timespan) are spammed posts, and will be considered so.

If someone we see as a good member writes the odd one-liner here and there, then obviously no probs. But posting one-liner, after one-liner, after one-liner wont be looked upon fondly.

If you email Pokerstars support and ask for more image changes they will give them to you. You just have to go through the same approval process as any other image.
