I've done these before. I was really good at these could even do the hardest ones. Also, I think it is spelled like "Sudoku"

yep I love them, too. Used to play the really hard ones because the others were too easy for me.
I loved to solve them during boring school lessons - it was really a nice occupation then.

You know...I'm definitely a numbers guy, but I have never, ever liked Sudoku.

The first time I saw one of these, I tried working on it, but gave up extremely quickly. It's not that I can't solve these puzzles, it's just that I don't have the patience too...which is a weird concept, because I'm generally a very patient person.

But the thing that troubled me about Sudoku for the longest time was this: "This is a math problem. I'm good at math. I should be able to do this." That used to bother me a lot.

Sudoku doesn't bother me any more. It stopped bothering me when I realized that Sudoku isn't a math problem. It's not even a numbers problem. The puzzle could just as easily be done with the first nine letters of the alphabet, or even 9 arbitrary, yet unique symbols. Sudoku has nothing to do with numbers, which is why it has been a huge favorite amongst my math-hating, crossword-puzzle-solving friends, yet I've not liked the game at all.

If you want a real puzzle, go old school. Go buy a Rubik's cube.

Default Sudoku

My 9 year old son turned me on to Sudoku. He's pretty good at it. We share certain thought patterns and I think he knew I'd immediately take to it. So I found a really cool website which offers daily (and weekly extreme) puzzles that I can print out and do on my way into the office.

If you're really hooked, and want a cool daily site to visit where you can register your responses check this out:

Sudoku is just like poker and bridge ==> logical thinking!!
That's the way it is and therefore anybody can learn it fast (normally in some minutes) but it takes a lot of time to be really good at it. However we all think we can play it at a high level .......

try a Kakuro - there pretty similar to Sudoku - but change it up alittle (Sudoku can get a little boring)
