Just curious to see how some of you guys play A 10 preflop , I usually call the BB and min raises but anything over that I fold .. if suited I consider moderate raises depending on how many BBs I have left.

Johnny's description are questions about situations.
Early Position: AT is most often a fold, but if your like really short shoving is fine. If your very well stacked and/or Table has been shown to be pretty tight you can raise it when there are antes in the game. Middle Position: From this position and on you can start thinking about raising pre, but folding this is better if your post flop game isnt good. You get called a lot by button and then your still playing OOP with a somewhat weak Ace. Late Position: Since most of the players folded, you can open as well as soooooted as offsuite. Obvious if were have less then 20 BB's and antes are in the game its an open shove. If we have over 25BB's we can open it and still have room to fold to a 3bet or reshove over a 3bet. Its key that you have a plan before playing the hand. You need to decide who your gonna fold to, call if he shoves or 4bet. 4bet basicly is saying that you put your opponent on trash and you will need to call a 5bet shove, so 4bet isnt an option that often. Blind battle: Obvious your gonna raise it from the SB. Your play from the BB is somewhat more interesting as your in position, so against some weak opponents who raise they check the flop if missed you might wanna call their raise pre or just 3 bet them. Very rarely were open folding AT on the BB. In opened pots its way more different, you need to know about table awareness. Have they opened from that spot before. Are there stacks behind you that will 3bet allin if you decide to call or are there stacks behind you that will call you because they are autoallin. So initial raiser gets odds to call, etc etc etc.

oh lawd let's not get on the folding AA on the bubble thing going again lol . thanks for the input guys. I do mostly what justice says with the exception of folding in early pos on preflop .I usually just try to limp and if someone raises I fold. It makes sense though and I will start doing it more in my games .
