Pokerstars is the biggest poker site in the world. At peak times there can be several hundred thousand people online at the same time, making the game selection great, and also the tournament selection very wide and varied.

Most poker games are available, including Holdem, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, 5-Card Omaha, 6-card Omaha, Razz, Stud, Stud Hi-Lo, Courchevel, Courchevel Hi-Lo, HORSE, HOSE, 2-7 Lowball, Draw, Badugi, and 8-Game

A wide selection of stakes are available. Some of the very common tournament buy-in sizes are $0.55, $1.10, $2.20, $3.30, $5.50, $8.80, $11, $16.50, $22, $27.50, $33, $55, $109, and $215. So most budgets are catered for nicely.

The screen is very easy to customise. You can easily change backgrounds, eg to a beach scene, or formal scene. And you can add your own avatar. The circles by each player are called avatars and you can add whichever picture you want to your own one.

You can also make notes on your opponents if you wish, and check out statistics, and replay hands. Some useful tools for improving your game

Some extras at Pokerstars

There are loads of tournaments of various speeds, so you can choose the ones that fit your style of play. However if you are in more of a hurry, there are some extra games at Pokerstars that might be for you:

Spin & Go: There are hyper quick poker tournaments with just 3 players. After registering, a set of Slot Machine reels will spin before the tournament actually starts, and will land on an amount that you will be playing for as a prize. If you are lucky, you might enter a $1 spin and go, and end up playing for $10,000.

Temptest: You get 2 options only: All-in, or Fold. And the antes will increase every hand until you get a showdown. So, as you can imagine, that is fast and furious with lots of flips. Great if you're bored!

Grand Tour: A challenge in Hyper-Turbo sit-and-go tournaments. A bounty gets put on your head for each player you knock-out (the size depends on the opponents bounty). If that bounty reaches $100, then you keep the $100. You can win money normally at the same time, it is just a bit of an added challenge.

Good Luck at the tables :)
