Poker Stars have their own equilvalent to the WSOP. It is called WCOOP (World Championship of Online Poker). All Events have a high guaranteed prize pool. Some of the buy-ins are quite high if you are starting off, but they do offer fairly cheap qualifiers to each event. The WCOOP schedule is below. Good Luck for those who enter.

The year 2006 will be the 5th time the WCOOP has run and it has gained a good reputation in the poker world. In 2005 there was 15 events. The main event attracted 1494 entrants with a prize pool of $3,735,000. Panella86 won this event and took home $577,342

Jason 'strass2' Strasser, who we saw chip leading the WSOP Main Event for a period in 2006, only to see his friend Doug Kim outlast him to take home a big final table win. The pot was chopped at 6 players remaining (based on chip count), leaving just 50K more to play for for the overall winner. Hence hannibalrex and Lefort received just the money at the time of the chop despite there overall placings.
